Hi, I’m Mitty
A Mandarin teacher from Taiwan who’d love to help you speak Chinese with confidence.

Your teacher, your 師父
In Chinese, 師父 shīfù is a master who teaches a craft, someone you learn from up close. That’s the kind of teacher I try to be.
I’ve taught more than 700 hours of Mandarin lessons, including at the Mandarin Training Center at National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei, one of Taiwan’s best-known Chinese programs.
I’m also a product designer. That shapes how I teach: I take something that looks hard, break it into small clear pieces, and test it with real people until it works.

What I believe about learning Chinese
Mistakes are the lesson
You’ll say things wrong. Good. I’ll show you the fix, and you’ll remember it far better than anything in a textbook.
Learn the Chinese you’ll use
We practise for your real life, whether that’s a work meeting, a landlord or a plate of night-market food.
Characters can be fun
Radicals turn characters into little pictures and stories. Once you see them, you can’t unsee them.
